Lemon Aid – Recipe by my 12 year old.
My oldest has always loved coming into the kitchen and experimenting with recipes and making delicious food and drinks.
As a toddler, I used to sit him on the counter and let him smell the spices, essential oils and herbs in the cupboard, telling him their names.
I am seeing now, that it was a big influence in how he creates his recipes.
He has a great sense of what goes together, and we have enjoyed many delicious concoctions over the years.
I am using this recipe as a courtesy of my son. It is his original, and well tested and loved by us all!
There’s nothing like a cold refreshing, glass of homemade lemon aid on a hot day!
Ingredients-
1 Cup of Water
1 Tablespoon + 2 Teaspoons of Lemon Juice
2 Tablespoons of Maple Syrup or Sweetener of your choice
Mix well, put in freezer to quick chill for 10-20 minutes. Store in Refrigerator.
Makes One serving…so, increase the recipe according to the amount you wish to make and serve. Making multiple batches works great!
ENJOY!!!
